GOOD TO KNOW
Frequently asked questions.
A few of the things travelers ask most often and if your question isn't here, I'd love to answer it.
-
We begin with a conversation about your travel dreams, travel style, budget, and what matters most to you. The more I get to know you, the more personalized your itinerary will be. I like to learn any specific interests, what drinks you like, favorite hotel/room features, etc.
From there, I design a custom proposal with thoughtfully selected hotels, routing, and experiences tailored specifically to your travel goals.
We'll refine every detail together based on your feedback until everything feels just right.
Once you're ready to move forward, I take care of all the bookings and coordinate the logistics, while connecting you with trusted local partners and hotel concierge teams to personalize your experience even further.
Before you depart, you'll receive a beautifully organized digital itinerary with your confirmations, reservations, recommendations, and travel documents, all accessible from your phone. And should anything unexpected arise, I'm just a message away before, during, and after your journey.

Yes. For full-service itinerary planning, I charge a planning fee that reflects the time, expertise, industry relationships, and personalized attention I bring to designing your journey. This allows me to provide every client with the same high level of care and thoughtful planning, regardless of trip size.
Planning fees start at $350 and vary based on the complexity of your itinerary. I'll discuss the fee during our initial conversation before any planning begins, so there are no surprises.
Hotel Only: There are NO FEES for hotel only bookings.
Last-minute travel: Trips departing within two months of travel may incur an expedited planning fee to allow me to prioritize your itinerary and meet tighter timelines.
Flights: I partner with a dedicated 24/7 air desk that can assist with flight bookings and ongoing flight support. Ticketing fees start at $50 per person

As a Virtuoso® advisor and preferred partner with many of the world's leading luxury hotel brands, I can often extend exclusive amenities that enhance your stay, typically at the same publicly available rate you'd find booking directly. Depending on the property, these may include complimentary daily breakfast, hotel or spa credits, room upgrades when available, early check-in, late check-out, and VIP recognition.
Beyond Virtuoso, I also maintain preferred partner status with many renowned hotel brands and exceptional boutique properties, giving my clients access to an even broader collection of exclusive benefits around the world.
I can also book eligible hotels through American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts® (FHR) on your behalf. While FHR offers valuable benefits, working with an advisor who has established relationships with hotel teams and on-property contacts means you also have someone advocating for your stay before you arrive. Although upgrades are never guaranteed, those relationships can often make a meaningful difference in how you're recognized and cared for throughout your stay.

The earlier the better for peak-season travel, safaris, and special properties — at least six to twelve months is ideal. Last-minute requests are always welcome when calendars allow.
-
An online site can't advocate for you when things change, doesn't know which room category actually has the view, and won't call in favors to get you upgraded on your anniversary. I can.
*If you prefer to DIY your travels, I have a booking site so you can handle the details yourself and still get my client perks!

I don't book travel directly with miles or points on behalf of clients, but I'm happy to advise on how to use them alongside a trip I'm arranging for you. Points bookings can't be combined with the Virtuoso and preferred partner benefits I secure, and they also require sharing personal account logins, which isn't something I ask clients to do. If you've got miles sitting around, let's talk through the best way to use them.
-
Yes. My clients invest in quality over quantity, and I specialize in 4 and 5 star properties and experiences. If you're looking for budget travel, I'm probably not the right fit, and that's okay.
-
Because I do this every day and you don't. I have relationships with hotels, cruise lines, and tour operators that get you upgrades, perks, and priority attention you can't access on your own, plus I'm the one you call if a flight gets cancelled or a property doesn't deliver. You're not paying for a Google search, you're paying for judgment, access, and someone in your corner.
